Thank you again for the excellent inspection and advice. I did purchase the home and I thought you would be interested to know that your first instincts were correct about the running water sound. The pipe was leaking between the street and the house. Fortunately it was under the sidewalk and the town’s responsibility.

Because of your inspection, I had money put in escrow so that the seller would pay for the repairs not covered by the town, as a precaution.

Also, the bank did require a rear floor fire escape which the seller did install.

Your service provided was commendable and I appreciate your professional attitude and willingness to spend the time to explain things to me, as well as your follow up note.

Bob was able to schedule a home inspection for us within a very short period of time. He arrived before our scheduled time and was a complete joy to work with for the entire inspection. He gave a great mix of authoritative contractor-level information and good old fatherly advice. He was professional, patient, and extremely knowledgeable and welcomed questions and opinions openly. His report arrived to us the same evening and was extremely detailed with written narrative and digital photos. He made this stressful part of the home buying process much easier!

Bob arrived at the agreed-upon time. He moved methodically through the interior and exterior of the house, explaining in clear language any problems he noted. He encouraged questions, large or small, and was never dismissive or rushed. I found him to be quite helpful in getting a sense of repair priorities, both as matters of safety and cost, and his advice was extremely helpful in negotiating credits (his services easily paid for themselves). The inspection report arrived that night via email, with color photos (hard copy promptly mailed). It is a great reference for future repairs. More generally, Bob has a pleasantly nerdy approach to home inspection. He really seems to enjoy the process of inspection, and really wants to help you uncover any lurking problems. It was a good experience (and I certainly never thought I'd say that of a home inspection).

Bob performed our original inspection when we purchased our home five years ago. We have had some work done since then, and wanted to get his opinion on where we should focus our resources next.

Bob did a fantastic job of evaluating our home. He has won many awards as a home inspector, and it's evident why this is. He had a trainee with him when he did our evaluation, and it's clear why someone would want to train with him. He knows his codes and knows the difference between something that is an annoyance and something that is a safety hazard. Bob knows what home inspectors do, and if he expresses an opinion outside the scope of his responsibilities as an inspector, he tells you that he is stepping outside that scope. It's clear this man loves his work, and the report you will receive shows just how much!

What words of advice would you give other members considering this contractor? He is worth every penny.

We recently added a garage and in-law suite to our home, and also had our kitchen remodeled. We asked Bob to inspect the work done as part of the remodel/addition and also to inspect the existing house. Bob performed a thorough inspection of our home, both inside and out.

Bob is extremely professional, courteous, punctual, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable of current building codes. He answered our questions thoughtfully and in language we understood. He provided an 85 page inspection report of our home (including pictures of items noted) within a day of the inspection. He provided us with information on deficiencies in our mechanical systems (electrical and boiler) that enabled us to go back to our builder with a detailed list of concerns to be remedied. I heartily recommend Bob and Allsafe Home Inspection to anyone who wants a quality home inspection and narrative report that is far above the typical check-box report that most other companies provide.

MR MULLOY WAS OUR ORIGINAL HOME INSPECTOR WHEN WE PURCHASED OUR HOME 7 YEARS AGO AND DID A THOROUGH JOB. WE ANTICIPATED PUTTING AN ADDITION ON THE HOUSE BUT LOST JOBS 2 YEARS AGO PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION SO MANY OF THE REPAIRS THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN PART OF THE CONSTRUCTION WENT UNDONE. WE REHIRED HIM TO GIVE THE HOUSE A ''ONCE OVER'' TO HELP US PRIORITIZE OUR REPAIRS GIVEN OUR NEW FINANCIAL PICTURE AND REDIRECT GOALS FOR OUR HOUSE. HE AGAIN DID A THOROUGH EVALUATION, SPENDING APPROXIMATELY 3 HOURS WITH US AND ISSUED A DETAILED WRITTEN REPORT.

BOB WAS ON TIME, VERY COURTEOUS AND WELL SPOKEN. HE HAS A VERY RELAXED STYLE AND VERY OPEN TO ANY QUESTIONS WE HAD ANSWERING THEM IN COMPLETE DETAIL. HE WAS ABLE TO ADVISE US AS TO HOW TO PRIORITIZE REPAIRS GIVEN OUR SITUATION. HE HAS ALSO MADE HIMSELF AVAILABLE BY EMAIL OR PHONE TO ASK QUESTIONS AT ANY TIME. WE ARE NOW PUTTING ON A NEW ROOF AND EMAILED HIM ASKING HIS OPINION ON VARIOUS ASPECTS OF THIS TASK. WE RECEIVED A PROMPT, DETAILED AND UNBIASED REPLY. WE FEEL THIS WAS MONEY VERY WELL SPENT ON A SERVICE THAT EXTENDS FAR BEYOND JUST THE PHYSICAL INSPECTION OF OUR HOME.
